Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 29, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Smart Table collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when restaurants, staff members, and guests use our service at smartable.space.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information needed to provide Smart Table, including account details such as names, email addresses, passwords, venue names, staff roles, table assignments, menu content, product images, table sessions, service requests, customer reviews, and support communications.

We also collect technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, log data, session cookies, security events, and approximate usage activity. When you pay for a subscription, payment details are handled by Paddle or the payment provider shown at checkout. We receive limited billing information such as customer identifiers, subscription status, plan, transaction status, and invoice metadata.

2. How We Use Information

We use information to provide and secure the service, authenticate users, operate tenant-scoped dashboards, process subscriptions, display menus and table sessions, route service requests to staff, provide support, troubleshoot issues, prevent abuse, improve product reliability, and comply with legal obligations.

3. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Smart Table uses cookies and similar technologies for authentication, session security, CSRF protection, preferences, and service functionality. Some third-party providers may use cookies or similar technologies when you interact with payment checkout or embedded services.

4. How We Share Information

We share information only as needed to operate Smart Table. This may include payment processors, hosting providers, database and storage providers, email providers, customer support tools, security services, professional advisers, and government or legal authorities when required by law.

We do not sell personal information. We do not allow restaurants to access another restaurant's tenant data.

5. Restaurant Customer Data

Restaurants using Smart Table are responsible for how they inform their own guests and staff about the use of Smart Table in their venue. Guest activity may be associated with a table session so the venue can respond to service requests, display menu activity, and maintain operational records.

6. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain business records, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, and protect the security of Smart Table. Account owners may request deletion or export of their venue data by contacting support.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, and alteration. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so account owners and staff should keep passwords confidential and use secure devices.

8. International Processing

Smart Table and its service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards or legal bases for international transfers.

9. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of personal information. You may also have the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To make a request, contact us at support@smartable.space.

10. Children's Privacy

Smart Table is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Smart Table evolves. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised date. Material changes may also be communicated to account owners.
